Dale Fulton, well known for many years as a fly fishing guide and outfitter in southwestern Montana, Idaho, and Yellowstone National Park, is actually a native of northern Arkansas. Dale has fished this area since early childhood. In 1978, he began guiding in the off-season on the White River and Norfork River. In 1987, he and his wife, Ronna, opened Blue Ribbon Fly Shop in Mountain Home, Arkansas, while Dale continued guiding summers out west. In 1992, Dale gave up his western guiding, returned to Arkansas full time, and bought what is now Fulton's Lodge. Dale and Ronna sold Blue Ribbon Fly Shop in 2007, and today they operate Fulton's Lodge together.
